Description: Polygon layer of the City of Johnson City municipal annexation from the core area, starting at 1885 through present. Annexations are added as they are approved by City Commission after third reading. There was a 30 day wait time before the annexation was official. Annexation laws changed in 2015 to allow annexation to be official as soon as it is approved. Annexations should always be updated the day after it is approved by City Commission (usually a Thursday). Track Acres, Sq Mi, date-in-effiect, population, Ordinance number, GIS assigned Annex ID number.
